Drive-thru menu boards

Drive-thru digital signage that changes with the clock

Run your drive-thru menu panels from the same dashboard as the dining room, with dayparts that switch automatically. Design panels with AI, push limited-time offers by priority, and keep every lane playing from a local cache.

First 3 screens free. No credit card.

01

Multi-panel lanes in one view

Group the panels in each lane and schedule them together, so the whole menu changes at once instead of panel by panel.

02

Daypart switches without staff

Breakfast ends and lunch begins at the time you set. Nobody has to remember to change the board during a rush.

03

Promotions that win the slot

Limited-time offers run at Promotion priority and take precedence over the base menu until their end date.

04

Built for flaky outdoor networks

Content is stored on the player and plays locally, so a drop in the lane's connection does not blank the board.

Design panels that read at a glance

Drive-thru boards are read from a car window in a few seconds. Describe what you need, such as "three panels, combos on the left, large prices, high contrast for night", and the AI Designer returns three on-brand variations. Ask for changes in plain language until it reads well from the lane. Each panel is an editable scene, so you can nudge a price or swap a photo yourself without starting over.

  • Three variations from one description
  • Plain-language edits such as "larger prices"
  • Portrait panels for tall outdoor enclosures
  • Templates to start from when you prefer

Lane-wide dayparting and promotions

Put each lane's panels in a screen group and schedule the group. The weekly timeline maps Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Late night to playlists, with recurrence and holiday exceptions. A new limited-time offer runs at Promotion priority across every lane for its date range. If an item runs out, a temporary override such as "for the next 2 hours" swaps the panel and reverts on its own.

  • Screen groups for each lane or store
  • Priorities: Normal 10, Promotion 50, Emergency 100
  • Temporary overrides that expire automatically
  • Takeover campaigns across every store for a set window

Many stores, one menu

Set the drive-thru menu at the corporate level and let it inherit to regions, stores and individual panels. Regional pricing or a store-specific item overlays the inherited schedule instead of replacing it. Today, price edits are made in the editor and published everywhere at once. Syncing items and prices from a POS is planned, beginning with generic data feeds and followed by integrations such as Square and Toast.

  • Inheritance: Corporate, Region, Location, Screen
  • Local changes without touching the master menu
  • One edit publishes to every inheriting panel
  • POS-driven pricing planned, not yet available

Monitor every lane remotely

The dashboard shows each panel's status, current content, last heartbeat and last sync. When something looks wrong, take a remote screenshot to see exactly what drivers see, then refresh, clear the cache or restart the player without a ladder. Panels run on Android and Google TV devices or any display with a modern browser, and they fetch, validate and store content locally before playing it.

  • Online and offline status for each panel
  • Remote screenshot, refresh, restart and clear cache
  • Display off and on commands for closing time
  • Offline cache with checksum validation

Pair each panel with its on-screen code and watch status from the dashboard.

FAQ

Drive-thru signage: common questions

Does DigitalSign work with outdoor drive-thru displays?

Yes, if the display can run a modern web browser or has an Android or Google TV device connected. The enclosure, brightness and weatherproofing come from your display hardware, not the software.

Can all the panels in a lane change at the same moment?

Yes. Put the panels in a screen group and schedule the group, so every panel switches dayparts on the same schedule.

Can I run a limited-time offer on every drive-thru at once?

Yes. Schedule it as a Promotion or a takeover campaign targeting every store. It wins over the regular menu for its window, then the menu returns automatically.

Will the drive-thru board go blank if the internet drops?

No. The player stores content on the device and keeps playing from that cache, then syncs when the connection returns.

Can drive-thru prices update from my POS?

That is planned, not available today. For now you edit prices in the editor and publish them to every inheriting panel in one step.

How is drive-thru signage priced?

Each panel counts as a screen. The first three are free, then plans start at $3 per screen per month.
