Remote management

Screen management: see and control every display remotely

Pair a screen with a short code, group it by location or tag, and watch its status from the dashboard. When something looks wrong, refresh, take a screenshot or restart the player without sending anyone on site.

First 3 screens free. No credit card.

01

Pair with a short code

The player shows a code like 8FJ2-KP9. Type it into the dashboard and the screen is yours.

02

Live status for every screen

See online or offline, current content, last heartbeat and last sync at a glance.

03

Remote commands

Refresh, screenshot, restart the player, clear cache or adjust volume from anywhere.

04

Groups by location or tag

Organize screens the way your business is laid out and target content to a whole group.

Pairing takes under a minute

Open the DigitalSign player on a smart TV browser or supported device and it shows a pairing code, for example 8FJ2-KP9. Enter that code in the dashboard, name the screen, choose its location and orientation, and it is ready for content. A screen is the logical destination for content and the player is the device running it, so you can swap hardware without rebuilding schedules.

  • Set location, orientation and resolution
  • Swap hardware without redoing schedules

Know what every screen is doing

Each screen reports a heartbeat, so the dashboard shows whether it is online, what it is playing and when it last synced. Drill into a screen to see a screenshot, IP address, player version, resolution, orientation, storage, CPU, memory and connection. Group screens by location or tag to check a whole store or region at once, and spot the one display that needs attention.

  • Online and offline status from heartbeats
  • Current content and live screenshots
  • Player version, IP, storage, CPU and RAM
  • Groups by location or tag

Fix problems without a site visit

Remote commands cover the fixes you would otherwise drive out for: refresh content, take a screenshot, restart the player, reboot the device, clear the cache, mute or set volume, turn the display off or on, and update software. Screen monitoring is part of every plan. Screen groups and full remote management are included in Standard at $3 per screen per month.

  • Reboot device and clear cache
  • Mute, volume and display on or off

FAQ

Screen management: common questions

How do I connect a TV to DigitalSign?

Open the player on the TV, note the pairing code it shows, and enter it in your dashboard.

Can I see what a screen is showing right now?

Yes. Each screen shows its current content, and you can request a live screenshot.

What can I do remotely?

Refresh, take a screenshot, restart the player, reboot the device, clear cache, adjust volume, turn the display off or on, and update software.

Which plan includes remote management?

Monitoring is available on every plan. Screen groups and full remote management are part of Standard at $3 per screen per month.

What happens if I replace a screen's hardware?

Pair the new device to the existing screen. Its schedules and content stay in place because they belong to the screen, not the device.
