Fire TV player
Coming soonAmazon Fire TV digital signage: coming soon to DigitalSign
A native DigitalSign player for Amazon Fire TV devices is next on the platform list after Android. Until it ships, run the same screen today with an Android or Google TV device or the browser player.
First 3 screens free. No credit card.
Status: coming soon
The Fire TV player is in development and not available yet. It follows Android in the platform order.
Works today with Android
Plug an Android or Google TV device into the same display and run DigitalSign right now.
Same pairing and controls
The Fire TV player is planned to use the same on-screen code pairing and remote commands as other players.
Offline cache planned too
Like every DigitalSign player, it will download, validate and store content locally before playing.
What is available today
The Fire TV player is not released yet, so please do not buy Fire TV hardware for DigitalSign expecting it to work on day one. If you need a screen running now, plug an Android or Google TV device into the display, or use any device with a modern browser and open player.digitalsign.co. Both are supported today and pair the same way: the screen shows a code such as 8FJ2-KP9 and you enter it in your dashboard.
- Fire TV player: coming soon, not yet available
- Android and Google TV: supported today
- Browser player: supported today
- Same pairing code flow on every player
How the Fire TV player is planned to work
The Fire TV player is planned to behave like the Android player. It will show a pairing code, fetch a manifest of the content assigned to its screen, download and checksum each asset, and play from local storage. If the network drops, it will keep running the schedule from that cache. Remote commands such as refresh, screenshot, restart, clear cache and volume are planned to work the same way from the dashboard.
- On-screen code pairing
- Checksum-validated local cache
- Offline schedule playback
- Remote commands from the dashboard

Planning hardware for later
Whichever device you choose, the guidance is the same: 4K output if your display supports it, 2 GB of RAM or more, enough storage for your video, and wired Ethernet where you can get it. A screen in DigitalSign is separate from the device running it, so if you start on Android today you can swap to a different player later and keep the same screen, content and schedule.
- Screens are separate from devices
- Swap players without rebuilding content
- 2 GB of RAM or more
- Wired Ethernet when possible

How it works
Live on screen in three steps
- 1
Use Android or the browser now
Connect a supported device to the display you plan to use.
- 2
Pair and schedule
Enter the on-screen code and assign content in the dashboard.
- 3
Switch players later
Swap in a Fire TV device when the player ships and keep the same screen.
