On the roadmapSamsung Tizen digital signage: on the DigitalSign roadmap
A native app for Samsung Tizen displays is on our roadmap, after the browser, Android and other players. Today, connect an Android or Google TV device to the Samsung display and run DigitalSign right away.

Status: roadmap
A native Tizen app is planned for later. It is not available yet.
Your Samsung display works today
Plug an Android or Google TV device into its HDMI port and pair it like any DigitalSign screen.
Browser player may work too
Some Samsung displays include a capable browser that can open player.digitalsign.co. Test it before you rely on it.
Keep the same screen later
When a native app arrives, pair it to your existing screen and keep its content and schedule.
Running a Samsung display today
A native Tizen app is on the roadmap but not available. The supported way to run a Samsung display today is to connect an Android or Google TV device to one of its HDMI inputs and run the DigitalSign player on that device. The screen shows a pairing code such as 8FJ2-KP9; enter it in your dashboard and the display starts playing. The display itself just needs to stay on the right input.

- Android or Google TV device: supported today
- Browser player: test on your model
- Same pairing code flow
Offline playback and remote control
With an Android device driving the Samsung display, you get the full DigitalSign player: a manifest of assigned content, checksum-validated downloads, local storage and offline playback through network outages. From the dashboard, see status and last heartbeat, take a screenshot, refresh, restart the player, clear cache and change volume. Display power control depends on what the device and display allow over HDMI.
- Checksum-validated offline cache
- Schedules keep running offline
- Screenshot, refresh, restart, clear cache, volume
- Display power depends on HDMI control support

Setup tips for commercial displays
Commercial displays are built for long hours, which makes them a good match for signage. Set the display to power on to the HDMI input the player uses, disable its own screensaver and energy-saving sleep, and choose a 4K-capable panel if people read it from a distance. Give the Android device 2 GB of RAM or more and a wired Ethernet connection where you can.
- Power on to the player's HDMI input
- Disable display sleep and screensaver
- 4K-capable panel for distance reading
- Wired Ethernet for the player device

How it works

- 2
