Signage automations that change content when conditions change

Automations are on the way. Set a trigger, a condition and an action, like snow in the forecast creating a snow-day promo for your local screens, and signage will respond without anyone logging in.

01

Trigger, condition, action

A planned rule builder: when something happens, check a condition, then change what plays.

02

Weather-aware content

Show cold drinks above 90°F or a rainy-day offer when it rains.

03

Inventory-aware promotions

Promote an item when stock is high and stop showing it when stock runs low.

04

AI-generated responses

An automation can ask the AI Designer to create the content it needs, then run it until the condition ends.

Rules that run your screens

Automations are planned around a simple pattern: trigger, condition, action, destination. Weather turns to snow, so generate a snow-day promo and show it on your retail screens until the snow stops. Rules will support IF, AND, OR and THEN, so you can combine conditions. Content changes when your business changes, instead of when someone remembers to log in and update it by hand.

  • Trigger, condition, action, destination
  • IF, AND, OR and THEN logic
  • Runs until the condition ends

Examples of what automations will do

IF the temperature is above 90°F THEN show "Cold drinks". IF it is raining THEN switch to an umbrella or delivery promotion. IF inventory of an item is above 20 THEN promote it, and IF it falls below 5 THEN stop showing it. Automations will build on data integrations, so the data your systems already have can drive what plays on screen.

  • Temperature and weather conditions
  • Inventory thresholds
  • Event-driven actions from connected data
  • AI-generated content as an action

Ask Signage AI, in plain words

Alongside rule-based automations, a planned "Ask Signage AI" command box at the top of the dashboard will take requests like "Put the Christmas promo on every Arkansas screen through Dec 24" or "Run this ad weekdays 2 to 5 PM". Conditional triggers are planned for the Pro plan at $8 per screen per month. Today, scheduling, priorities and overrides cover time-based changes.

How it works

Live on screen in three steps

  1. 1

    Pick a trigger

Choose an event, like a weather change or an inventory update.

  2. 2

    Set the condition

Define when the rule applies, such as snow or stock below 5.

  3. 3

    Choose the action

Swap content or generate a new design for the screens you choose.

FAQ

Automations: common questions

Are automations available today?

Not yet. Automations are on the way. Scheduling, priorities and overrides handle time-based changes today.

What kinds of triggers are planned?

Weather, inventory and other events from connected data sources, combined with IF, AND, OR and THEN logic.

Can an automation create new content?

That is the plan. An automation will be able to ask the AI Designer for a design and run it until the condition ends.

Which plan will include automations?

Conditional triggers are planned for the Pro plan at $8 per screen per month.

Do automations need data integrations?

Many will. Triggers like inventory levels depend on a connected data source, which is also on the way.
